Minimum
Qualification for the Trials
To be considered for entry dog hounds must have attended 5 meets, bitches 4 and working certificate holders 4 during the 2009/10 season. Entry to the Trials is by invitation of the Field master should too many hounds meet the attendance qualification.
Just a
reminder about cancellation protocol???
If the weather is particularly bad - snow, very
strong wind or flooding, and you have concerns about whether the meet is on or
off, please phone the Field master, Dave McSheehy, the night before. 01883
723389. Usually, should a decision be taken to cancel, we arrange a phone tree
and call those known to be attending, but the responsibility for checking lies
with each individual member. You must ensure that I have a contact phone number
where you could be reached on a Saturday should it be necessary.
And last but not least, the
lost beagle procedure!........
Protocol is that
everybody looks should hounds go
missing. If the Field master does need to organise search parties, please
ensure that you go with somebody who has a mobile phone. Usually my phone is
used as a base station - call in every 10-15 minutes to see if the beagle has
been found. Since I will not be there next week, please key Dave McSheehy's
mobile number 07901 876578 into your phone before you set off!
