The Beagle Club keeps engaged with any updates or news that can affect our breed.  Our responsibility is to pass on as much correct information as possible to our Beaglers. 

The Beagle Club supports the work of the nominated Breed Health Representative who provides regular updates available from the dedicated Beagle Health Website 

Beagles should be tested for the main conditions that can affect any beagle and the Kennel Club has implemented conditions for health testing for new registrations which is in place to ensure that good breeders only breed from healthy beagles.

You may also read the latest news on current conditions known to be affecting the breed including MLS, NCCD, IGS, Lafora, and the less commonly known condition FVII deficiency.  Epilepsy is also a condition which is currently undergoing research through the Animal Heath Trust in conjunction with the Breed Health Co-ordinator Samantha Goldberg.
